What is an Order Book?
Definition
An order book is a real-time, continuously updated list of all buy and sell orders for a specific prediction market condition, organized by price level. It shows market depth and helps traders make informed decisions about order placement and execution.
Core Components
- Bid Side: All buy orders (buyers willing to purchase at specified prices)
- Ask Side: All sell orders (sellers willing to sell at specified prices)
- Spread: The difference between the highest bid and lowest ask prices
